The original Alesis qs8 midi covers almost all styles, but I find more particulirement adapted to rock in all its forms from pop to jazz to prog. The sounds are acoustic trs good, especially the piano and strings.

The ports have nothing to do with latency. It's built into Mac's.
Windows needs help because the built alesis qs8 midi WDM driver has like a half second latency which is horrible. To get good latency you need an ASIO driver. Just google it and give it a shot.
I am guessing that would be the version. If so. Any idea when we will see a version release for Mac?

If you tell us exactly how alesis qs8 midi MIDI and audio inputs you need and your price range we may be able to help you choose an USB audio interface. I'd like Mic preamp, powered not just USB power and low latency to be important features. Previous Topic.
